Remembering Vincent Hing, a friend of AIS

On Thursday, March 19 2009, Vincent Hing (55) passed due to a heart attack. He leaves his wife, Cheryl and daughter, Kristen. He was truly a good guy, a tremendous CARA supporter and AIS friend/agent since 1995. With his boundless positive energy, he helped us jump-start in the earlier years and remained a staunch player. We’ll certainly miss his keen sense of humor.

May he rest in a better place… and in the hearts and minds of us lucky enough to have known him.

Recession Busters

To the attendees of the Reno, NV and Las Vegas CE Courses,

Thanks for taking the time to come out to hear about some of our hot new stuff. As always, we’d like to thank Larry Hardy and One Source for their efforts and hard work.

With the onslaught of new regulations, higher premiums, higher deductibles and lower commissions for medical insurance, sustaining in this business is difficult.

That’s why we’ve worked so hard to innovate and bring to you ancillary products and services: VSP Vision, Delta Dental, Ameritas, PEO Services with Gevity, HR Services with Ken Anderson, and the Prevent Disaster Employee Manual and Maintenance Program to name a few.

We hope that we’ve sparked some interest and presented you with new opportunities and methods to secure your business in these ever-changing, tough economic times. If you have questions or comments, contact us! (You can also leave your comments here on our blog.) We’re here to help,

Recessions are difficult and most of us aren’t getting government bailouts or multi-million dollar retention bonuses. We make it by doing the right thing, making smart choices, and providing quality products and services. Our new offerings can make business and busting through the recession a little easier.

Products Page!

At AIS, we like to think up the best, simplest ways to get you the things you need;

product brochures, rates, enrollment forms… so much right now in our country, economy and industry has been made unnecessarily complex.

So instead of focussing on “search engine optimization” to make it easier for companies like Google to find and index our information, we’re thinking “agent optimized.”

Our Products Page is simple file names, under headers, searchable, easy-to-download and view.

Right now, it’s just the hottest, most relevant stuff, but as it too becomes more complex, we’ll continue to do what we can to keep things “caveman simple” as the very last thing that should stress you out today is our website.

If you were unable to attend our last meeting in Reno (January 20), meet up with us in Vegas, March 10!

This year is ripe with opportunity — while the state of the economy is letting us all down, the CARA MoneyCard and our arrangement with Gevity is exciting and full of potential. It’s got a lot of people excited.

Check out our Events page and contact Diane at One Source or Mary ( e. mary *at* ais-insurance *dot* com) [Phone numbers/email available at the bottom of the Events page.]

Hope to see you there! As always, we’ll have door prizes so bring your business card!

New Goals, New Services…

New ais-insurance.

At AIS, it’s our goal to bring the best products and services to brokers and agents to help ensure that people get the best options… even if it means working with a provider to create something entirely-unique. It’s 2008, almost 2009, and we’ve been helping small businesses (down to one) for three-decades.

We’re problem solvers.

Thirty-years ago, small businesses had a problem getting adequate medical coverage. AIS created CARA to solve this problem, and thought, “why stop there?” Small business owners and their employees need vision, dental, disability and accident coverage, so we sought to provide them with everything offered to large companies—”big guy” benefits for the “little guy.”

AIS has a unique billing system—getting better everyday—and relationships with great people; our arrangements allow us to bring products and services to agents and brokers virtually-anywhere in the United States, and because of this, the self-employed and small-operations in rural areas receive the same services and prices found in the big cities.

We’re also more than just insurance services.

In fact, our hottest new services and offerings aren’t insurance! We’re proud to offer the Prevent Disaster Employee Manual and Maintenance Program, and thrilled to offer the CARA MoneyCard, a perfect solution for many unbanked workers and business owners. AIS also has new relationships with CTI and Insurance Leads giving us the ability to help you like never before. Be sure to ask us about our new door openers.

And after all of this time… we’re still nowhere near done with breaking ground—we’ve now opened the door to a previously-considered-competitor, the PEO.

After months of taking Gevity (a nationally known Professional Employer Organization) on a tour of the “Insurance World”—through the eyes of the brokerage community—a broker-friendly deal has been agreed upon. To our knowledge, this is the first time that a major PEO has agreed to pay first-year commissions PLUS renewals, with no production requirements and protection against BofR attacks. This will offer brokers a new defense and strategy against the payroll services who approach clients offering “HR services” and ultimately takeover the insurance plans. This is a huge breakthrough for agents looking to protect their business and for those planning an exit strategy.

Over the past decade, the insurance industry has had many changes. Some companies would like to push-aside and forget about the brokers… we’d like to help level the playing field with new products and services to help brokers “push back” and stay in the game.
